High Fashion.... or ankle breakers...

.

This week is Fashion Week and looking at the pictures it got me to thinking.

I use to do ballroom dancing in spike heels. I could leap and land easily.... finally. But I don't think I could handle just walking in these...

Love the color, but....Ow... that's all...just Ow.

Maybe High fashion, but not for me.

And these just look deadly...

What the....
Iris van Herpen Fang Shoes. My feet just fainted. Is this for self defense????

But it looks like I am not the only one with walking issues in high fashion shoes....

Even the people who are trained how can't walk in these shoes.
Even Super Models can't do it....

Another one bites the dust.
Can she save herself....

Nope.... another one bites the dust...

But they were not the only ones ....

After slipping up while walking down the runway, this model hides her face in utter shame. This lady had the right idea....

A model loses her shoe when she presents a creation from the Brian Reyes Fall 2009 collection Feb. 19, 2009. Models present creations from the Brian Reyes Fall 2009 collection barefoot after a number of them lost their shoes during New York Fashion Week Feb. 19, 2009.

This may be the only way safe way to show off you shoe fashion sense ...

Alex I agree. My feet hurt just looking at these.

Do any of these come in Wide width?

Cathy I'm not sure. I would need a wide width myself, and probably training wheels.

if those shoes were pretty I would somewhat understand but most are hideous - the first one in particular that 'Lady' Gaga seems to prefer which look like cow hooves...I did walk the run way on stilettos at one time but that was another lifetime ago and now I am doing good to walk in flats! ;)

They'll all have arthritis in their hips by the time they're 40. And some of them look fragile enough to snap if they fall over.

Designed by sadistic podiatrists!

Those sure are ridiculous! It's sad that the models are forced to wear them.
Now the lethal-looking brown ones with werewolf teeth...those could come in handy for self-defense.

Hi I Wonder Wye, I know what you mean. I use to do ballroom dancing in 3 1/2 to 4 inch spikes at times...now flats, or a low wedge if I feel like dressing up.
Hi AJ, I agree as well as major lower back problems.
Hi Laura, I don't do them anymore. Though they do make your legs look good.
Hi Lori, I totally agree.

Hi Laura, I think the brown ones would go with the Alien ones you had.... Then again, maybe not, they might fight for leadership of the closet and shred everything else.

I didn't think of that! *Goes to segregate the closet space*

Laura maybe you should send Jezebel, I don't think they would have the nerve to mess with her.

Bwahaha! She LOVED your suggestion. All's quiet in the closet now, except for the occasional wire hanger hitting the wall... *shudder*
