I is for Ice Cream....

On my recipe blog Grandmom's Recipes. Today I have a Ice cream recipe. So to go along with the Ice Cream theme and the fact that the high temprature is suppose to be 88°. So did I just sleep through spring and wake up in summer????   But I digress...What I was going to say is, it seems like the perfect time to share a time line of the History of Ice Cream.

So grab an ice cream cone, sit back and enjoy...

Thanks for the good info! I'm not a big ice cream fan but I do like sorbets and even shave ice. Guess I'm still back there in time with the snow cones.

Yay ice cream. Best "I" word so far. Never realized that Baskin-Robbins had been around so long.

Hi Stephanie, I like sorbets and snow cones myself. I even bought a ice cream maker just to make sorbets.
Hi Arlee, Nice to see you here. Baskin-Robbins has been around since there was single didget flavors.

Oh naughty girl. I just adore ice-cream and that picture at the end has me reaching for my purse and heading off to the shopping centre. And I'm on a diet!
Great post and happy A-Z.

Hi Lauracea, Sorry but parking at the back of the lot and walking in will burn off some of the calories.

Who knew ice cream had such a long and unique history. Great job pointing this out to me, as now I have an insatiable craving for ice cream! The picture really sealed my fate. The frozen section of the grocery store will be my next stop!

Of course, the most important date there is when Cookies n Cream was invented... ;)
