Another Drag Queen is gone....

This week we lost another one of my favorite Drag Queens.  These ... ah... “Ladies” keep us all entertained.

First we lost Daphne / Jerry on June 27th, 2001.

(aka  Jack Lemmon in Some Like It Hot)

Then on September 14th, 2009 we lost Vida.

(aka Patrick Swayze in To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar)

And now on September 29th,  2010 we have lost Josephine / Joe.

(aka Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot)

They are surely missed.  But I know they have gone on to bigger and better roles in the stars.

Well at least Buffy / Kip Wilson...

(aka Tom Hanks in Bussom Buddies)

...and Dorothy Michaels /  Michael Dorsey ....

                                (aka Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie)

...and Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire / Daniel Hillard are still around.

(aka Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire)

Along with all the other men who are not afraid to entertain us by showing off their feminine side.

Weird drag queen connection: RuPaul's father lives in my husband's hometown in Louisiana. Ru visits on occasion, but Josh has never seen him/her.

What a neat post! I loved all these 'ladies' and was really sad when I read about Tony Curtis. I'd forgotten about Tom Hanks!!!

I have just one question. How come they all have better complexions than I do and I don't have to worry about a 5:00 shadow?????
