Good-bye to my little editor...

   This is a very difficult post to write, because I hate saying good-bye. Especially when I know it is forever.

   We lost our little Foxy to old age on August 13th. She passed away quietly at my feet under my desk. Still keeping up her job as editor to the end.

   Good-bye Ms. Foxy. You are still loved and will be missed.

Elizabeth Taylor 1932 - 2011...

    The world lost another great actor yesterday.

                                          Dame Elizabeth Taylor....

   Ms. Taylor was great at her craft, with the movies. She proved that over 70 times and awards to prove it. She was a beautiful lady and made a beautiful bride. She proved that one seven times.

 

One of my favorite movies of hers was Cleopatra.

Theres a party on Wednesday....

   Okay everyone get your virtual party gear out.  Author Laura Eno is throwing a virtual party at her blog "A Shift in Dimension" to celebrate her newest book ( does the woman ever sleep???).
   The new book is part of a new series as well.  The book is entitled "Don't Fall Asleep"... something I am sure Laura has first hand knowledge with.
    The Party starts at 8am on Wednesday October 13th at a computer near you.
   The dress is casual and there is bound to be plenty of drinks and food.  I am bring chocolate cookies, as long as my baking chocolate doesn't disappear in "The Great Chocolate Conspiracy".

Another Drag Queen is gone....

   This week we lost another one of my favorite Drag Queens.  These ... ah... “Ladies” keep us all entertained.

First we lost Daphne / Jerry on June 27th, 2001.

                            (aka  Jack Lemmon in Some Like It Hot)


Then on September 14th, 2009 we lost Vida.

    (aka Patrick Swayze in To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar)


And now on September 29th,  2010 we have lost Josephine / Joe.

                                (aka Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot)


   They are surely missed.  But I know they have gone on to bigger and better roles in the stars.

Well at least Buffy / Kip Wilson...

   Along with all the other men who are not afraid to entertain us by showing off their feminine side.

The Day the World Cried...

    I would like to take a moment out today to remember an event that affected the world. On this day September 11^th, 2001 the world lost more of its innocents. While this tragedy occurred on United States soil it happened to the world. The twin towers were called the WORLD Trade center, because they held people of all nationalities, all faiths, and all ages. This tragedy happened to people not governments.

    I would like to take this opportunity to remember all those who lost their lives and their loved ones. I would also like to take time to remember the stories of the heroes and the courage of the people in the aftermath. Not just here but around the world.
