You know the old joke about your back goes out more than you do....
Well, my back decided to go out today, and hasn't gotten back yet... or at least not in a correct UN-painful position. But then it could be that it just pissed the muscles off by going out without them.
What ever the cause, the rest of me is left to suffer the consequences. That means it is really hard to sit for long or stand or squat.
What even worse … I know how to pick things up and bend and everything to prevent this from happening. I was a pain therapist. I taught people how to take care of their backs. Okay I lectured most of them, but hey they wouldn't listen.... just like me.
I told them over and over "do as I say....NOT as I do".
Oh well I guess I will head to the bed with an ice pack and pout because once again my back went out without me.
Oh well, the upside of this is no housework...
I use to have this book... It has some great exercises in it
for back pain as well as the correct posture to prevent it.
My life is anything but normal. Then who's is. To get through this life I try to see the funny side of things. This is not a political commentary. My cardiologist says I need to avoid stress. Beside dealing with the government has taught me to curse like a sailor, and I'm trying to clean up my act. Oh if your trying to practice for the spelling bee, don't count on my help, I'm a horrible speller. THANK GOD for spell check. Now, if I would remember to use it.

I've had back trouble all my life (if you know about these things, I was born with scoliosis and I've needed a series of operations and metal implants to stop me from turning into a pretzel)
You have my deepest sympathy!
Poor you :-(
Take care!
I am so sorry to hear that! A pain in the back affects everything. Hope you feel better soon!
AJ, Yes I do know about scoliosis. I am sorry to hear you suffer from it.
Al, First thank you for your pity, I'll take all I can get. Secondly welcome back from your vacation. I hope you and your wife had a wonderful time. I'm headed over to check you out now.
Betty, Thank you it does. Because I was a dance teacher, I have had foot pain, knee pain and back pain. Back is worse, because it can cause foot pain, knee pain, neck pain, stomach pain...etc. Nothing like sharing the wealth.
I'm sorry! Really ironic though, isn't it?
Mom has scoliosis, yet another Hampton trait, yippee!!
Alex, yes it is.
Kim, Welcome. Yep, being a Hampton just keeps getting better and better. I wonder how much can be attributed to our hard headiness too.
I'm sorry to hear about your back. Luckily I've never had that although I know most do. Just take it easy. No housework. Sounds heavenly!
